Ms. Mahatme has been practicing law in New York City since 1989 and additionally in White Plains City since 2002. She has practiced law for over a decade with the prestigious international law firms of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and Pillsbury, Winthrop, Shaw Pittman (formerly Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam & Roberts) and has represented domestic as well as international clients on various large multi jurisdictional transactions involving complex business structures and issues. Ms. Mahatme founded Mahatme Bitterman PLLC in 2002 and is the firm's Managing Member.

Currently, Ms. Mahatme works with established and emerging companies and entrepreneurs. She brings her personal entrepreneurial experience to her practice to facilitate practical solutions to legal challenges.

Ms. Mahatme has taught at various internal and external seminars including an intensive three day seminar entitled ''Operating Leases and Certain Aspects of New York Law Governing Operating Leases'' organized by IATA, Geneva, Switzerland. She has also presented a paper on insider trading at the Sixth International Symposium on Regulation of Financial Markets, Cambridge, U.K.

Ms. Mahatme advises clients on transactional matters in the areas of corporate formation and general corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity, securities offerings, contracts, licensing, distribution and joint ventures; non-compete and confidentiality agreements; real estate purchase and sale contracts; real estate leases; e-commerce, technology, internet law; outsourcing; copyright, trademark, and trade secret protection; vendor financing, asset-backed securitizations, swaps and derivatives, project financing, equipment and aircraft financing and leasing and export support arrangements.

Ms. Mahatme also represents individuals in respect of executive compensation and employment, director and officer liability, bankruptcy, trusts and estates, matrimonial, family law and general civil matters.
